Alumni Services

Library Access

We are currently open to DU Law Alumni. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. All alumni must complete a visitor access questionnaire to be eligible to enter the law library. Complete the Law Library Visitation Form to make your appointment or contact the Access Services Department at access@law-du.libanswers.com for assistance.

Notice: Restricted Access

On occasion, the University requires card access to enter all buildings due to events or demonstrations in the area. Law Alumni will not be able to access the Law Library during times when card access is mandated.

Please call 303-871-6188 for updated information on periods of restricted access. If you have questions or need help accessing materials, visit https://law-du.libanswers.com/index for contact information.

Checking Out Materials

Alumni are not able to check out materials. However, all circulating materials can be requested through most Colorado public libraries through Prospector. To learn more about Prospector and interlibrary loan, please reach out to your local public library.

Research Services & Help

The librarians can help you with research requests through the library’s virtual reference desk. Please send your requests to lawlibrary@du.edu or visit the reference desk during reference hours

The Westminster Law Library has a public Westlaw Terminal available for alumni use on the library's second floor. The terminal allows users to access primary resources and some secondary sources.

The Library also has Research Guides accessible from its home page. Please visit https://libguides.law.du.edu/ to see all of the library’s Guides.
